Civette font
A downloadable font
Design details
Civette is a pixel-perfect font that presents stylistic echoes from the European renaissance and modern era (Giovanni Ostaus, the Romain du Roi) mixed with influences from the digital revolution times (Susan Kare's Broadway, in terms of contrast, as well as deprecated system fonts). At the same time, Civette is a functional text typeface, in roman and italic styles, providing comfortable readability (thanks to its ample spacing) without blending in the background. It was originally developed for Hawaii-based artist Juliette Lily for her digital portfolio site.
Language support
Civette presents language support for 38 languages that use the Latin script, including Afrikaans, Albanian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Bosnian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian Bokmål, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tongan, Turkish, Welsh and Zulu.
